Tite Liner ®

The Tite Liner ® System is the world's leading polyethylene pipe lining system for internally protecting pipelines from abrasion and corrosion. The Tite Liner ® System utilizes a high density polyethylene (HDPE) liner pipe that comes in sizes from 2" to 52" in diameter. The Tite Liner ® System protects pipelines from a variety of chemicals and abrasives through a broad range of temperatures and pressures.

The Tite Liner ® System combines the strength of a pipeline (steel, ductile iron, concrete, etc.) with the exceptional corrosion and abrasion resistance of polyethylene.

The polyethylene liner isolates the flowstream from the host pipe wall, eliminating internal corrosion. The Tite Liner ® System is ideally suited for corrosive and abrasive applications such as potable and non-potable water lines, crude oil lines, slurry lines, wet gas lines, CO2 lines, brine lines, acid lines, effluent lines and sewers.

Unlike other lining processes, the Tite Liner ® System places the liner in tight radial contact with the inside of the host pipe. Pulled into a new or existing pipeline by our proprietary installation process, the polyethylene liner is thick, continuous, and installed tightly against the inner wall of the host pipe.

The HDPE pipe utilized in the Tite Liner ® System exhibits superior mechanical and chemical properties through all pressure and temperature ranges up to 82 Celsius (180 Fahrenheit) with most fluids and gasses. For higher temperatures or more aggressive fluids, United® can recommend alternative lining materials.

tite liner In order to respond quickly to customer needs and project requirements, we’ve established manufacturing and construction support facilities in four countries. United® maintains a high standard of quality and dimensional tolerance by designing and manufacturing our proprietary installation equipment and key project components such as flange connections, polyethylene flange-fittings, spacer rings and special fabrications. Retaining control of the manufacturing schedule allows us to keep our delivery commitments. In addition to manufacturing key components in-house, we also conduct development and product testing.

United® approaches each pipeline construction project as a custom undertaking, designating a specific liner size, flange-fittings and installation equipment for the job. When the installation of a Tite Liner ® System is complete, we thoroughly test and inspect the entire pipeline to ensure that the system has been properly installed and is functioning according to the system design.
