PIPELINES
Liner systems provide great corrosion & erosion resistance, but the Safetyliner™ system does a lot more. Unique geometry assures continuity between the plastic pipe liner and host pipe which we put to good use.

PIPELINES APPLICATIONS
 Liquids
Safetyliner™ system's strong point is integrity management, especially in High Consequense Areas. It provides operations benefits that no other pipeline system, either lined or bare, can. A small leak over a long time is a major risk. The unique 'zero-tolerance' threshold detects even the smallest of pinholes. In most cases, there is no reportable release since the problem is contained inside our dual wall construction. It is adaptable to most monitoring programs; intermittent/manual types up to remote/full-time/SCADA.
It is the first cost-effective, true dual-containment system, and a typical rehab is a fraction of a new steel pipeline. Service lifetimes of suspect' pipelines can be indefinitely extended, and, some de-rated pipelines may be safely returned to higher operating pressures.
Gas
The Safetyliner™system is highly suitable to gas transmission and gas or multi-phase production pipelines. The liner's ultra-smooth inner surface increases flow capacity to reduce compressor and/or pump costs. The risk of rapid crack propagation along the host steel pipe is reduced via liner-pipe annulus pressure control. Lower risk of explosion, along with our 'zero-tolerance' leak detection, makes for unparalleled operations safety. Gases permeate through virtually all liners causing operations problems. Unlike other systems, we efficiently remove these via the annulus. Venting can be fully automated to keep annular pressure below level needed to collapse the liner. Also, our effective venting capability prevents corrosive products from forming, making Safetyliner™ great for wet H2S and CO2 applications. The liner can be made from a range of thermoplastics, for service in very tough situations, including hot and/or aggressive gases/fluids.
Municipal
One of the most exciting applications for the Safetyliner™ system lies in rehabilitation of municipal (water & sewer) piping systems. In addition to stopping problems (losses or inflows), the system can be designed to deliver broadband services to communities & businesses. Furthermore, (in an operations sense) the smooth liner surface can actually increase flow capacity.
